What does it do? In addition to including the color-capture feature, this app ensures that you’ll always have Benjamin Moore color cards at your fingertips. One of the handy features of this app is that you can save photos and color swatches to your photo album, which gives you the ability to create photos for clients and email the inspiration photo with color swatches. It also allows you to search for the closest Benjamin Moore store so you can quickly pick up your client’s paint.

App: Painting Walls Light/Painting Walls Pro
Price: Free/$2.99

What does it do? Save your creation and email it to a client, or send it to the crew to ensure that there is no mistake about what color goes where. Share on Facebook or Twitter so all of your future clients will know the awesome service you provide. The differences between the paid version and the free version are the ads and a much larger color palette on the paid version.

App:Wall Painter/Wall Painter Light
Price: $0.99/Free
Available On: iPhone, iPod touch and iPad
What does it do? This app allows you to share your creations on Facebook, but it does not have a section to save them, so don’t forget to save it to your photo album if you don’t want to lose it. The only difference I found between the free version and the paid version is the ads. If you don’t want ads popping up at the bottom of your screen, pay the $0.99.

App: Color Change
Price: $2.99
Available On: iPhone, iPod touch and iPad
What does it do? This app doesn’t allow you to browse colors or swatches; simply use
the sliding scale to adjust hue, saturation, brightness and blend. Once you have landed on the perfect color, it displays the HSB, RGB and CMYK. The save feature on this app automatically saves the photo to your album.

App: Paint Swatches
Price: $1.99
Available On: iPhone, iPod touch and iPad
What does it do? This is not a color-capturing app or a virtual painting app, but I think it’s a great organizational tool. Peruse color choices from Benjamin Moore, Sherwin-Williams, Behr, California Paints, Glidden and C2. Create project profiles for each client, save color palettes and notes (ideas, costs, etc.), and email them to the crew or the client.
