The Wallcoverings Association (WA) has presented the Allman Award, its highest honor, to Jeff Rezin, president of the environmental and safety consulting firm Rezin Inc. The award, named for WA’s founder, is presented each year to a leader who has made a long-lasting, positive contribution to the wallcovering industry. Rezin has championed sustainability issues in the wallcoverings industry for 12 years, working closely with WA leadership and member companies to enhance the industry’s environmental footprint.
Rezin is a long-time member of the WA technical committee and took a lead role in the development of the NSF/ANSI 342 Sustainability Standard for Wallcovering. Rezin advises the wallcoverings industry on the range of sustainability issues and represents the WA on technical collaborations with other industry groups. In addition, Rezin has been active in the Chemical Fabrics & Film Association and chaired its technical committee for 15 years.
A LEED AP, Rezin brings 32 years of sustainability insight and experience to his WA activities. Before starting his consulting company in 2001, Rezin worked as director of Environmental Health and Safety Affairs for three major manufacturing companies. His practice counsels clients on a wide scope of practices including environmental management systems, recycling and employee training. Among his many awards are two Virginia Governor’s Environmental Excellence Awards and the Pennsylvania Governor’s Award for Environmental Excellence.
