Supply Chain Update From Manufacturers and Retailers

27 March, 2020

Amidst changing state ordinances and questions from contractors, APC reached out to manufacturers to determine changing hours, inventory, delivery methods. This page will update as we receive more/different information. The below is unedited from the manufacturers.

Benjamin Moore retailers and painting contractors are the heroes of our everyday stories, as seen in our latest “See the Love” marketing campaign, and we want to ensure those that are able to work, can continue do so. As an essential business, many Benjamin Moore retailers remain open while increasing their service levels to include delivery and curbside pickup. As a company, Benjamin Moore has implemented various payment options for our independent retailers, developed customized marketing materials and maintains critical services so their businesses are able to support customers during this challenging time.

Our Benjamin Moore retailers and representatives work with contractors to make sure they work efficiently and safely:

Ordering — order online or by phone
Pickup — pick up our supplies by curbside or by service entrance
Delivery — where possible, we have our supplies delivered directly to the jobsite

*Please call your Benjamin Moore retailer to get specifics on their location.

PPG

The health and safety of our employees and customers is the highest priority for PPG. We continue to monitor the health of our global workforce and measures are being taken to protect PPG employees and customers, in accordance with global and regional government requirements. PPG is providing ongoing communications to employees; encouraging continued awareness of general hygiene and social distancing precautions; restricting travel and adjusting operations as appropriate.

While the situation remains fluid, we will operate stores in accordance with regional government requirements. In areas where government or public health recommendations have been issued, we have moved to an altered service model including curbside pickup or delivery in order to reduce or eliminate in-store foot traffic. In areas where government or public health restrictions have been issued, we have closed our operations and have moved to a phone or email order fulfillment model with no-contact delivery or pickup in order to continue servicing any customer needs.

Sherwin-Williams
Sherwin-Williams is committed to their professional customers and to their businesses. As the COVID-19 situation evolves, Sherwin-Williams is taking all necessary measures to support the health and well-being of their employees and their customers.
Stores have implemented reduced hours: closing at 5 pm Monday through Friday, at 4pm on Saturday, and at 2pm on Sunday.
They’ve also temporarily changed the ways their professional customers can order and receive products.

•  Online Ordering: Pros can continue to use the S-W PRO App and website to place online orders. S-W Pro accounts can register for online account access here. Or they can call 1-800-4SHERWIN to get set up.
Phone and Email Orders: Pros can place orders over the phone or by email with their local store or sales representative.
• Credit, debit, checks and pre-paid gift cards are accepted.  Currently they are not accepting cash.
• Professionals can now request delivery or curbside pickup.   For online orders, the preference should be communicated in the comment section.  In-store pickup is temporarily no longer available.

If pro customers are experiencing financial hardships during this time, they should contact the Sherwin-Williams district credit office to discuss.
Sherwin-Williams is working hard to provide the expertise, service and products needed by professionals for any project needs during these rapidly evolving times.

California Paint
• ICP Group’s operations are critical to the supply chain of the Critical Infrastructure Worker industry.
• Our supply chain is strong and operating normally with a consistent source of raw materials, and facilities operating at optimal levels to provide our customers a steady supply of product.
• Our sales teams, customer service, and technical support teams remain available and ready to help our customers. Please reach out to our teams as you normally would.

Miller Paint

The health and safety of Miller Paint employees and customers is our highest priority. On Monday,
March 23, Oregon Governor Kate Brown and Washington Governor Jay Inslee each issued an executive
order directing their state’s residents to stay home except when traveling for essential work, buying
food and similar critical supplies, or returning to their own homes. Both executive orders specifically
called out construction as an essential business. Small businesses throughout the Pacific Northwest,
particularly the construction industry, depend on Miller Paint to keep their projects moving.

We have embraced guidelines issued by the Centers for Disease Control, Oregon Health Authority and
Washington Health Authority, and have implemented policies that require social distancing, enhanced
personal hygiene, strict sick leave policies and widespread employee work-from-home opportunities. In
light of COVID-19, we have temporarily adjusted store hours to better serve our customers and
communities. The adjusted hours will allow additional time for deep cleaning. Adjusted store hours can
be found here.

We are strongly encouraging our customers to choose your colors online and call in your order to the
nearest Miller Paint store. Then, let us know when you have arrived, and a Miller Paint representative
will meet you at your vehicle with the order.

Should you need to visit a Miller Paint store, please know we are taking extra precautions by increasing
the frequency of routine cleanings. We have separated workstations to eliminate sharing terminals, and
all associates are wearing gloves. We are wiping down the credit machines before and after every
transaction. We are also regularly wiping down tint machine keyboards, rubber mallet handles, phones,
counters, door handles, and shared surfaces. In addition to washing hands thoroughly and often, our
employees are required to practice social distancing and have been advised to stay home if not feeling
well. We have temporarily paused all in-store demonstrations.

If a store has multiple entry doors, you’ll find only one open. We are restricting the number of
customers in a store at one time based on the size of the store. We have caution tape to limit access
throughout the store and keep our guests at a safe distance from the sales counter. We have marked
six-foot increments on the floor with tape indicating where our customers should stand while waiting for
service to properly distance themselves; and our employees will monitor and ensure proper social
distancing is occurring. You’ll find signage regarding distancing on the front doors and inside stores.
Other changes you may notice include no popcorn, no coffee or coffee cups, and no drinking water
stations.

Dunn Edwards

Dunn-Edwards provides alternative means of placing orders. They are accepting will call orders – place orders by email, call your sales representative, or contact a store. They will have your order ready for pick up at the store or use their free delivery service to avoid having to visit a store.

Dunn-Edwards credit account holders can also order online. Their website is available 24/7 and you will find a full range of Dunn-Edwards paints and everyday supplies available for will call orders only.
